Sai Drilling and Infrastructure Private Limited was incorporated in 2008 in New Delhi. The company builds the underground infrastructure for piped natural gas — distribution mains, service lines, MRS units, and the connections into homes, shops and factories.
How the company has grown.
Sai Drilling and Infrastructure was incorporated in September 2008 by Prem Chandra Gupta, a mechanical engineer with earlier project experience in Delhi's telecom and drilling sector. The first few years of work were in trenchless drilling and cable laying.
In 2017 the company was registered as a vendor with Indraprastha Gas Limited under code 22966. The first IGL contract was for MDPE network laying and GI/copper domestic connections in NCT Delhi. That contract closed in 2019 with an executed value of ₹22.19 Cr — the largest single contract on the company's books.
Since then the relationship with IGL has grown into a set of parallel rate contracts covering MDPE laying, MRS fabrication for Delhi N&W and Haryana, network O&M, and PNG customer acquisition. From 2021 the company has also been working with HPOIL Gas in the Ambala–Kurukshetra geographic area, and from 2022 with IndianOil-Adani Gas in Chandigarh.
Active operations are in Delhi NCR, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab. The company is open to mobilising into other gas geographic areas across India.
