Six kinds of work, all in city gas distribution

Sai Drilling handles every part of a City Gas Distribution project, from laying the MDPE gas main in the trench to the regulator on a consumer's wall. We use our own equipment and our own staff.

MDPE Pipeline Laying

Laying of MDPE gas distribution mains in 20, 32, 63 and 125 mm sizes. Trenching, jointing, testing and road restoration handled in-house.

Scope
  • Trenching, excavation, backfilling and reinstatement
  • Electrofusion and butt fusion jointing
  • Over 990 km of MDPE gas main laid to date

Domestic PNG Connections

GI, copper and MLC service line installation from the MDPE main into the consumer's kitchen. Includes service regulator, meter and internal piping.

Scope
  • Over 61,500 domestic connections installed
  • Service regulator and meter installation
  • Work executed as per PNGRB and OISD norms

MRS Fabrication and Installation

Metering and Regulating Station units for industrial and commercial PNG connections. Fabrication is done at our own workshop and units are installed and commissioned at site.

Scope
  • Two regional MRS rate contracts executed for IGL
  • Internal piping for industrial and commercial premises
  • Supply of CS pipe, valves, fittings, brass and rubber consumables

Network O&M

Operation and maintenance rate contracts for MDPE, copper and GI distribution networks. Includes leak attention, repair, restoration and routine maintenance.

Scope
  • Three-year O&M rate contract executed for IGL NCT Delhi
  • PE-PNG O&M (manpower) contract for IOAGPL Chandigarh
  • Round-the-clock emergency response

Customer Acquisition and DMA

Door-to-door PNG customer acquisition, last mile connectivity and aboveground GI installation. Used by gas utilities entering new geographic areas.

Scope
  • Over 62,000 PNG customer acquisitions
  • Aboveground GI installation and last mile connectivity
  • DMA work for IGL and HPOIL Gas (Ambala-Kurukshetra GA)

Trenchless and HDD

Horizontal Directional Drilling for laying gas pipelines, optical fibre, water lines, sewers and HV cables without breaking the surface.

Scope
  • Crossings under roads, railway tracks and waterways
  • Suited for congested urban areas and sensitive zones
  • Telecom fibre and electrical conduit work in addition to CGD
